ALTERNATIVE CONTROL are Rastko Palikuca and Goran Toprek, born respectively in '80 and '84 in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade. They started producing back in 2003 and now, many years down the road, this coöperation has lead to over 25 single releases in labels like Spun, Turbo Trance, Vision Quest, Dacru, Planet B.E.N., Utopia, Oxygen, Proton and many others.
In 2006 the Serbs launched their first full album dubbed 'Alt + Ctrl', a joint release by Vision Quest Japan and Proton Records Brasil. At that time, their fresh uplifting brand of morning full on, soon catapulted them to the forefront of the psychedelic scene. Global performances were the logical consequence.Over the years, the guys played several legendary 'The Gathering' festivals in Japan, had multiple major Brasil tours, spent months playing in Mexico and have covered almost every European country and festival.
Among the artists they worked with we find people like Shanti, Sub6, Deedrah, Bamboo Forest, GBU, Protoculture, Freaked Frequency, Animalis, Even11 and many more.Their long awaited second full album 'Alternating Current' has been released by Belgian label Dacru Records in 2011. For the second longplayer Rastko and Toca re-invented the Alternative Control sound, kept their identity, but also explored new and exciting digital boundaries. With a broad range of bpms and styles, their aim was to please the general electronic music lover, and stimulate his senses in ways previously unthinkable.
The third album is currently under construction with AC promising again to surprise everyone, it is due for release in 2012. AC are ready once more, and with exciting new material to showcase, their latest productions look set to exceed all expectations.
